You’re so fancy studio
When you choose to rent You're So Fancy Studio, you gain exclusive access to the entire space, offering a comprehensive array of amenities. This encompasses a main studio, an assortment of furniture and props, a dedicated styling room, and the convenience of a private bathroom. Our commitment is to provide you with a versatile and fully-equipped studio.
Parking
Convenient parking is available for your use at our building.
For those bringing in equipment, we recommend utilizing the parking lot on the east side of the building. This lot, located closest to the front door, offers four designated spots for easy access. Alternatively, parking directly behind the building is an option, but we kindly ask that you use the front door, situated on Eleven Mile Road, for entrance.
More Time
At You're So Fancy, we aim for a personalized experience. After booking, we schedule 30 minutes between sessions for cleanup and setup changes. Our goal is to create a studio space that truly feels like your own during your session. No back to back appointments.
Furniture & Props
Feel free to unleash your creative vision at our studio – all furniture is movable to suit your needs. You'll find most props strategically placed throughout the studio for easy access. Our collection includes a variety of furniture, floral arrangements, and decorative items. Keep in mind that some items are seasonal and regularly rotated to provide fresh and inspiring options for your sessions. We encourage you to explore and rearrange to make the space uniquely yours.
ENTERING the building
Upon entering through the front door facing 11 Mile Road, you'll immediately spot the stairs. Both studios are located on the second floor.
A day prior to your booking, you'll receive a temporary access code via text. Enter the code and press # to unlock the door. Once unlocked, the door will automatically lock again. While bringing in equipment or props, feel free to leave the door open. In case of any issues with the lock, please reach out to me at 586.413.5322. I can provide additional codes if you find yourself locked out of the studio.
Exiting the Studio
Upon completing your session at the studio, kindly send us a text at 586.413.5322. This helps us prepare the space for the next photographer. We appreciate your effort to return all props and furniture to their original places, ensuring a seamless transition for the next creative endeavor. Your cooperation is invaluable in maintaining the studio's welcoming and organized atmosphere.
Studio Lighting
Our studio is bathed in abundant natural light, creating a vibrant atmosphere. To enhance your lighting options, we also offer two continuous light boxes equipped with remotes. These allow you to easily adjust both the intensity and temperature of the light, providing flexibility to suit your creative vision. Whether you prefer the soft glow of natural light or the controlled precision of artificial lighting, our studio is equipped to meet your photography needs.
Music
Feel the vibe in both studios with our available wireless speaker!
STUDIO EAST: To pair your device, simply turn on Bluetooth by turning the knob on the record player until a blue light appears. On your phone, search for a Bluetooth device named CODI.
STUDIO WEST: To pair your device, simply turn on Bluetooth and hold down the power button on the speaker until you hear a connection sound. On your phone, search for a Bluetooth device named BUGANI.
Enjoy the freedom to set the mood in your chosen studio with our wireless speakers. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.
Bedding
The studio provides a simple white fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillowcases.
Waste
We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a clean and organized studio environment. When disposing of waste, kindly follow these guidelines:
Empty Liquids: Before discarding in the waste basket, please empty all liquids in the bathroom sink.
Pop Balloons: Ensure balloons are popped before placing them in the waste basket.
Seamless Paper: Do not dispose of seamless paper in the waste baskets. If you use seamless paper, allow us to handle the cleanup. We will cut and dispose of seamless paper between appointments.
Seamless paper
When utilizing seamless paper as a backdrop, kindly note that only three colors are available for use at a time. When booking, please specify the three colors you'd like for your session. Use the pulley system on the photo backdrop rack to lower your chosen paper color, and there's a metal bar on the left of the paper to act as a weight.
If creating a wall with the paper, pull down the chosen color with about an inch of extra paper on the floor and use a weight to secure it. Seamless paper is free for use as a background. Additional charges for seamless paper apply only when it's pulled onto the floor to be walked on. If you require seamless paper on the floor, please add the desired amount during the booking process. Refer to each studio page for the available colors of seamless paper.
Moving Furniture
When it comes to rearranging furniture, we trust your judgment and encourage you to use common sense.
Food/Beverage
Feel free to indulge in food and beverages while you work in the studio; we're all about making you feel comfortable and at home.
Bed Setups
In Studio East, you'll find a full-size bed, while Studio West will feature a Queen size bed. The bed in Studio East must be requested when booking. Studio West offers the bed setup at all times.
FIRE
Please note that lighting candles is not permitted in the studio at any time.
Studio Walls
When attaching anything to the studio walls, kindly utilize the blue painter's tape provided. If you're dealing with heavier items that require special attention, please inform us, and we'll be more than happy to assist you. Our goal is to ensure your creative process is smooth and accommodated, so feel free to reach out if you have any specific requirements or concerns.
